Manual electricity tracking, volatile utility bills, and zero appliance-level visibility create massive energy inefficiencies. While the ElectrifAI team had a compelling vision and early hackathon momentum, transitioning from early prototypes to an enterprise-grade IoT hardware-and-software architecture required disciplined engineering, rigorous telemetry pipelines, and hands-on product execution.
Engineering Methodology
Martinsoft stepped in as the venture building and engineering partner. We transitioned the mobile stack from early Expo experiments to a robust React Native CLI production build, co-engineered real-time telemetry protocols for custom IoT smart meter hardware, and built 'Chat with ELI'—an autonomous AI agent that audits appliance consumption and guides users on lowering their power footprint.
Findings & Impact
Evolved from a student hackathon idea into an internationally recognized climate tech platform. Backed by New Energy Nexus Philippines (Cohort 6), won Founders Arena at Philippine Blockchain Week 2025, selected as an International Exhibitor at IEEE TENCON Singapore, and recognized across DOST TBI, Leave a Nest, and GenAI Summit Philippines.
